building in the world and considered one of the\nnew Seven Wonders of the World.&nbsp; Breath-taking\nand stunning for its grand scale and incredible detail, this temple is a\nmust-see sight for many travellers.&nbsp; Built\nduring the 12th century, construction involved 300,000 workers, 6,000 elephants\nand transporting sandstone blocks from the holy mountain of Phnom Kulen, more\nthan 50km away temple of Angkor Thom, the former capital city of the Khmer\nempire, and built during the late 12th century.&nbsp;\nBayon is a fantastic temple to explore and makes it a perfect place to\nget lost in the mysteries of the Angkor Thom fortified city with mazes of\ntunnels, blocked doorways and tumble-down rocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><noscript><img width=\"730\" height=\"410\" growing out of its walls, Ta Phrom is a\ntemple built during the 12th century and left mainly untouched. &nbsp;With many towers, closed courtyards and narrow\ncorridors, Ta Phrom is the ultimate place
