The Giants House is an historic Akaroa abode with terraced gardens, sculptures, mosaics, original contemporary artworks and ceramics, plus so much more! Upon entering, experience a momentary sensory overload and a feast of colour, for this is an unique creation by local artist Josie Martin. Josie is a qualified Horticulturist and Artist and has used these two passions to design and create her quirky world at The Giants House starting some 23 years ago.

The gardens are a continuous work in progress and are seriously playful. An extraordinary wonderland, where visitors can interact with nature and art, celebrating the many joys of life.

The Giants House has recently been awarded 6 stars and is now a GARDEN of INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE (NZGT). Seeing this Akaroa attraction is nothing short of spectacular!
