Thailand is situated in the heart of mainland Southeast Asia. Its capital city Bangkok holds over 10 per cent of the country’s population. The city is known as a shopping haven with an eclectic mix of restaurants and nightlife, however, it still retains an oriental charm. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - Passports must be valid for six months beyond the length of stay. Visas are not required for New Zealand passport holders who stay less than 30 days.

CHIANG MAI

Situated on the Mae Ping River, Chiang Mai is referred to as the ‘Northern Capital’ by the locals. The city has a vibrant mix of fascinating history and modern culture. It is also popular for handicrafts and is home to nearly 300 temples.

KANCHANABURI

Just north of Bangkok, Kanchanaburi is one of Thailand’s largest provinces and is known for its undeniable beauty. It is also a city rich in war history, and is where you can explore the Death Railway and the Bridge over River Kwai.
