On the edge of the great Arabian Desert, exploring Wadi Rum – Valley of the Moon – gives a taste of the desert lifestyle.

Inhabited from the very beginnings of humanity and still wandered by the Bedouin people today, the area’s siqs (canyons), natural arches and red sand dunes hide ancient rock drawings and graffiti as well as temples of the Nabataean people, who also built Petra.

A surreal and otherworldly landscape that shifts spectacularly throughout the day with the changes of the light, you may recognise Wadi Rum from the big screen – its been used as filming location for many blockbusters, including Lawrence of Arabia, The Martian, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and The Rise of Skywalker.
