Arrive in Mexico City and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to explore your surroundings. Please note: This Short Stay runs from Sunday to Friday, leading into the start of the Grand Impressions of Mexico tour.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Chihuahua. Check in at your hotel on arrival, and spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Rise early to board the legendary Chepe Express Train and set off on one of the world’s most spectacular rail journeys, deep into the heart of the Sierra Tarahumara. Arrive in Divisadero for lunch and a guided walking tour through the breathtaking Copper Canyon and intriguing Tarahumara caves.
After breakfast, head out on a guided excursion to take in sweeping views of three canyons, the towering Piedra Volada, and stunning scenic overlooks. For an extra rush of adrenaline, choose optional adventures like the cable car or zipline (not included). Return to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon.
Start the day with a hearty breakfast before setting out on your next adventure. In the afternoon, board the Chepe Express Train and travel from Divisadero to Creel. Settle in and watch as the rugged cliffs, deep gorges, and pine forests of the Sierra Tarahumara roll past your window. Arrive in Creel, a vibrant mountain town known as the gateway to Copper Canyon. Surrounded by pine forests and Tarahumara villages, Creel blends culture and adventure with colourful plazas, local artisan shops, and easy access to breathtaking natural wonders.
After breakfast, leave Creel behind and travel through the scenic countryside toward the Mennonite Community. Step into a world shaped by tradition, where horse-drawn buggies share the roads with modern vehicles, and fields stretch wide with carefully cultivated crops. Visit local workshops and bakeries, sample homemade cheeses or bread, and learn how this community has preserved its language, faith, and customs for generations while adapting to life in northern Mexico. In the late afternoon, return to Chihuahua, and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Mexico City.

These departures feature a maximum group size of 18 and exclusive benefits including a single room throughout your tour, complimentary return airport transfers (within 50km radius of major Australian airports) and a cocktail on arrival at your destination. Travellers from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne also receive a complimentary Australian airport lounge pass for use prior to departure.

All of our tours offer a single room supplement, which means you’ll have a room to yourself throughout your chosen tour. Continue the check-out process for the applicable supplement.
On most tours, you can choose our 'Happy to Share' option, which may enable you to share a twin room with other solo customers of the same gender who also request Happy to Share. If a share partner is found, the Single Supplement will be removed from your booking. If a share partner is not found, the Single Supplement will remain and is payable with your final balance.
If you are booking on a Dedicated Solo departure, a single room is already included in the price and there are no additional single supplements to pay.
