Floating Village

Discover the way of life of the local people who live in one of Halong Bay’s floating villages. For generations a community has flourished on the waters of Halong Bay, building houses on floating platforms and living on the bounty of the sea. Those that live here rarely even need to visit the mainland! Over 50 families live in the village and there is even a small school here. Explore the community and chat with the people who live here as you take to a small rowing boat helmed by a local person. Your junk boat will drop anchor nearby and there will be the opportunity to take a kayak onto the water (weather permitting).
